Project Coordinator

Full Time - Based in Office

Mission

To be the main driving force of project organisation, profitability & financial performance.

Duties

The duties for the above role include (but are not limited to) the following:

Pre-Contract

  • Preliminary design pricing

  • Preliminary design specifications

  • Attending site visits as required

  • Co-ordinating & obtaining quotes from materials suppliers & sub-contractors

  • Assist with the completion of all pricing & specifications to be presented to Client for new project proposal

Post-Contact / Pre-Construction

  • Monitoring working drawing progress by in-house drafts people

  • Advise suppliers & sub-contractors of upcoming projects for forecasting purposes

  • Management of project timelines in co-ordination with Construction Manager

  • Co-ordination of final quotes based on consented plans

  • Quantity surveying, scheduling & ordering of all materials

  • Co-ordinating new project handover to Construction Manager at commencement of build

During Construction

  • Attending weekly construction meetings

  • Assisting Construction Manager to ensure Sub-contractors are organised to be on-site when required

  • Attending joinery, electrical & plumbing walk-throughs with Client & Sub-contractors as required

  • Pricing of variations as per variations process including obtaining Client approval once priced

  • Monthly Monitoring of project costs using in-house ledgers

  • Advising Accounts of progress payments to be invoiced

  • Assist with contract administration & cost management

  • Co-ordinate collation of CCC documentation as required with Accounts/Office

  • Creating snag list after Client handover & coordinating with Construction Manager to action

  • Assist & liaise with Construction Manager, Clients, Drafts people, Engineers, Council & Admin staff

After Construction

  • Completing project ledger to provide final cost of project & comparison to budget

General

  • Continually assessing & implementing changes to improve processes to minimise inefficiencies caused by time delays & on-site wastage of materials

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Projects

  • Knowledge of Asana & Hubspot is a bonus

  • Experience in the construction industry

Lead Architectural Technician

Full Time - Based in Office

Mission

To be the main driving force of the Drafting office by managing the Drafting team to complete the designs & working drawings on time & to our high quality standards.

Duties

The duties for the above role include (but are not limited to) the following:

Concept Design

  • Assist Craig with Client meetings for concept design

  • Visit site as required

  • Liaise with Client as needed to finalise concept design

 

Working Drawings

  • Assign Drafting team to projects as required

  • Monitoring plan drawing progress by the Drafting Team to ensure timelines are met wherever possible

  • Mentoring of Drafting team to ensure quality & consistency of working drawings produced

  • Undertaking Quality Checks for each set of working drawings produced to ensure quality & consistency of working drawings

  • Co-ordinating Drafting Team to ensure Drafting Office is kept maintained, files in correct places dependent on stage of process,

  • Ensure weekly communication to Clients on working drawings progress

  • Continual liaison with Engineer & Truss Designers as required to produce working drawings

  • Lodge Final Plans with Council to obtain Building Consent

  • Liaison with Council for any RFI’s

  • Assist & liaise with Craig, Project Co-Ordinator, Clients, Engineers, Council & Admin staff

 

Once Building Consent Issued

  • Advising Designmax Team that BC is issued & notifying Client

  • Advise Accounts of Plan Only projects completion including any Engineering costs to be charged on

  • Remove all redundant files from physical Project Folder & ensure all electronic files are well labelled & in their correct locations within the network

  • Completing review of quality check process & change/update as required

  • Completing review of final plan labour hours for project & comparison to budget

 

General

  • Continually assessing & implementing changes to improve drafting processes to minimise inefficiencies

 

Requirements

  • Strong practical knowledge with a good understanding of NZS 3604, the NZ Building Codes & Standards.

  • Minimum 2 years experience in the residential building industry. 

  • Experience with Revit

  • Competency. Enthusiasm. Punctuality. Pride. Great sense of humour!
