Hi, we are Craig & Nicky Lipscombe, and a very warm welcome to our website! We are Waiuku locals with 3 children, our eldest Cody who is a qualified Builder living the dream fishing in Exmouth, Tara who is studying Engineering at Canterbury Uni, and the youngest Keely who has just started her career in yachting.

After Craig spent nearly 20 years on the tools as a qualified Builder & Project Manager, and Nicky in

Accounts, we started Designmax in August 2006 to provide our Community with an experienced Design & Build construction solution, utilising as many of our local Tradespeople as possible. Over the years we have constructed well over 200 unique homes & sheds amongst other projects, and have built a strong, knowledgeable team around us, currently consisting of 1 Project Manager, 1 LBP Site Foreman, 2 qualified Builders & 2 Apprentices on site, with 1 in-house Draftsperson in the office.

Recently we rebranded as Designmax Homes to cement our place in the custom homes market and to have a fresh approach as we up our game for the future. It is often forgotten that by using local Tradespeople, you are not only investing back into your Community, you are ensuring you receive a service that will be backed up by a local.
